First things first: welcome! If you're reading this, it likely means you're interested in smoking, and you want to do it right. This is awesome, and we're stoked to help you start your green journey!
While most of us have had a pretty relaxed first experience with smoking bud, the more you know and the better prepared you come, the better an experience you're going to have!
So without further adieu, let's take a look at our top tips for enhancing your high!
1. Don't panic, and smoke when you're ready
There's little to no known direct risk associated with smoking bud, and as long as you're choosing to do so in a safe environment, nothing can really go wrong.
That aside, many people can feel a little insecure about their first encounters getting high, and this can typically have a negative knock-on effect on your overall experience.
If you're feeling insecure about smoking, just wait! The time will come when you're ready, and when it does, just remember: you're safe, you're not in danger, and any anxious feelings that might pop up are exactly that - just feelings.
Once you have your mindset in the right place, sit back and enjoy the journey!
2. Make an informed choice
There are tons of strains out there with different levels of potency. As a beginner smoker, a strain with higher levels of THC for example might be a little too strong for you and could leave you feeling anywhere from lethargic to anxious, or even sick.
Check what you're smoking, and where you can pick a weaker strain to start off with (you can always choose something stronger afterwards). Second to that, the more you smoke, the higher you'll become. Start with a few tokes and work your way up as you start to feel more comfortable.
3. Prepare your setting
From the friends you're with to the movie you're watching to the food you're eating - all of these things (and more) will determine how you feel when you smoke.
Be sure to smoke with people who you trust and enjoy spending time with, or if you're interested in smoking alone - do that, but maybe keep a friend in the loop in case you change your mind and fancy a phone call. If you've got a boring movie on, change it, if the outfit you're wearing is uncomfortable, switch it, if the food you're eating sucks, replace it... you get the picture.
